Five Films That Every Millennial Should See

In this day and age, there are far too many people that haven't seen the cinematic classics of the past. Every week I'm going to be posting five films that people my age need to watch. I can't count the amount of times that people have said, "I've never seen that", when talking to me about film. Enough of these cookie cutter action movies that everyone flocks to now-a-days, these are the films you need to see..

1. Chinatown

(1974)

Directed by Roman Polanski

JJ 'Jake' Gittes (Jack Nicholson) is a private detective who is hired by Evelyn Mulwray to investigate her husband Hollis, the engenier of the water department, because she thinks he's having an affair. Gittes finds out later that her client wasn't the real Mrs. Mulwray.

4. Stand By Me

Directed by Rob Reiner 

A modern type trailer for a classic and one of my favorite films of all time. It's such a beautiful film and the younger generations may be put off by the low quality trailer. 5. Before The Devil Knows You're Dead

(2007)

Directed by Sidney Lumet

Master filmmaker Sidney Lumet directs this absorbing suspense thriller about a family facing the worst enemy of all -- itself. Oscar-winner Philip Seymour Hoffman plays Andy, an overextended broker who lures his younger brother, Hank (Ethan Hawke), into a larcenous scheme: the pair will rob a suburban mom-and-pop jewelry store that appears to be the quintessential easy target.
